Hi, Yes, I said I'm back!
I have had to spend several hours going through my whole blog and recapping on what I had already done and where I was upto. I have finally had a go at Doodle and realised that I had already had a go at this before and didn't really find it useful to me personally. I can understand how it would be useful if you wanted to arrange a meeting with one or several people however here at City we have our own systems for arranging meetings in Outlook so from a work perspective I would not need it and so did not register with them.

Thing13: Prezi
The last time I gave my BLOG any attention was when I was on overload with accounts and passwords.
I spent quite alot of time messing around with Prezi which was really good fun although
I never came up with anything worth embedding into my BLOG.
So I have finally managed to produce something work related, I know it's not going to win any awards but I got there in the end.
Drum Role Please.

Thing10,11 &12: Twitter and Linkedin
Hi, I'm back in the land of 23 things.
Just wanted to let you all know I have sorted out the password problems I was having.
The Linkedin hitch (resetting my password) must have just fallen on a bad day for them as when I had some spare time to try again (some weeks later) it was resolved in an instant.
I am now playing with PREZI! and am having loads of fun, can anyone tell me how to download a picture from flickr onto my PREZI? is it possible?

Thing10,11 & 12:Twitter and LinkedIn
Okay I have set up accounts with Twitter and LinkedIn.
The problem is I can't get back into LinkedIn as I can't remember my password.
You see the THING is, in my haste I didn't write anything down (well I'm not supposed to am I )
I have remembered my Twitter one no problem it's just LinkedIn and yes I have clicked on the forgotten your password link on more than one occasion.
The THING is everything needs a password doesn't it and you don't want to use the same one for everything do you. Anyway when I submit my email address for varification they tell me it is already being used by someone else (Yes ME!!) and when I do a name search for myself well you wouldn't believe how many of me there are(all over the world)
I think from a work perspective LinkedIn looks like it is probably a good one to be a member of.
I am (if I can recall correctly) following The British library, The Library of congress, City Uni library, At your library and seussisms on Twitter.
On to the next THING

Thing 9
Okay thanks to For Your I.A.s Only I have been able to apply this picture from flickr to my BLOG.
I chose this picture because it matched my page, think of it as a cushion or a throw.
I did want to add it to the design of my page rather than just plonk it onto the page as a THING, still never mind perhaps I will discover somehow by chance how to do it at some later THING.

Thing 8
Well I have googled creative commons and searched for images unfortunately when I paste the URL into the box in my blog a message comes up that the URL is wrong. Yet when I paste the URL into the google box on any PC the image comes up so once again I am still fiddling about with it.
So I have downloaded a Banksy image as I know they are FREE (or so I thought) so I should be safe there.
And now for an uploaded downloaded image
BANKSY
BREAKING NEWS
Now after hastily publishing THING 8 and 9 prior to some annual leave, a weekend and a bank holiday I had a panic attack about what I had written and the image I had downloaded.
You see I know I read somewhere that Banksy wasn't concerned about copyright which is understandable as his images deface (or improve in some cases) properties around the world, he would not want any unwanted attention as to his person due to criminal damage charges. I don't really know what I am talking about but it sounds okay to me and I am trying to justify my use of a BANKSY image.
I had a look in his book Wall and Piece (2005) ISBN 978-1-84413786-2
I had a look on his official website http://www.banksy.co.uk/
I searched the web for Banksy/copyright info http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banksy
All of which I have done in the past and I am dead sure that there was NO copyright on BANKSY. However the nearest thing I can get to FREE now is the official website, if that truly is what it is (how can I be sure?) Images can be used for personal use and I am personally using it so that should be alright then.
